Alexander Marinelli started this business in 1965 hauling stone and moving dirt, not behind a desk. Four generations later, that perspective is still how we run the yard. We stock what contractors actually pull, schedule deliveries around how jobs actually run, and handle the 7 AM curveballs because we know what it's like to be on the other end of that call.

Built the same way it started.
The Marinelli name has been part of the Philadelphia construction industry for over 60 years.
It started in 1965 with Alexander Marinelli, hauling stone, moving dirt, and doing the kind of work that keeps jobsites moving. The business was hands-on from day one. It was built around showing up, doing the work, and getting it done right.
As the next generation stepped in, the family saw an opportunity to evolve. Instead of chasing work as contractors, they could support the contractors themselves by supplying the materials every job depends on. That shift shaped the business into what it is today.
Today, A. Marinelli & Sons is led by the fourth generation. The family is still involved in the day-to-day: in the yard, on the phone, and working directly with customers.

Alexander Marinelli starts the business with trucking and quarry work, supporting construction projects across the region.

Late 1988s
Fran Marinelli joins the business, helping lay the groundwork for its evolution into a materials supplier.

Francis Marinelli
Owner
Francis is the third generation owner of A. Marinelli & Sons, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather before him. Being a key part of the transition that brought A. Marinelli & Sons from a paving contractor to the successful supply yard that it is today, Francis not only built a strong work ethic, but also has a great knowledge and understanding of the building industry which he has shared with his family, employees and customers alike.

Andrew Marinelli
Vice President
Andrew recently graduated from West Chester University with a degree in Business Management. Through work and in-class experience, Andrew has learned to efficiently and knowledgeably manage yard employees and operations. Andrew continues to learn from the experience with his father and looks forward to proudly following in his footsteps. Andrew avidly listens to music and enjoys playing golf.

Anna Marinelli
Business Manager
Anna has over a decade of experience learning the inner workings of A. Marinelli & Sons from both Rose and Francis. Cultivating a relationship with vendors and clients alike, she enjoys dealing with the people that make up A. Marinelli & Sons. Outside of work, Anna loves music, playing tennis, travel, reading and spending time with her daughter, family and friends.

Abdoul Baradji
Yard Manager
Originally from West Africa, Abdoul came to the United States at the young age of 18. Having worked at A. Marinelli & Sons for over 20 years, he has become a cornerstone of the daily operations, and truly embodies the hard work and experience that A. Marinelli & Sons represents. The proud father of three, Abdoul takes the same pride in his works as he takes in his family. Abdoul is an avid Arsenal soccer fan and former martial artist.

Erin Lennon
Office Manager
Erin has been part of A. Marinelli & Sons, Inc. for over a decade, specializing in office operations and team support. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling with her wife, family, and friends, cooking vegetarian meals, and rooting for Philadelphia sports teams.

Riley Roberts
Accounts Receivable
Since joining A. Marinelli & Sons, Inc. in 2019, Riley has specialized in accounts receivable and financial support operations. Her organization, reliability, and positive attitude make her a valued part of the team. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two sons.
